CGC Education Committee
The overall mission of the CGC Education Committee is to provide educational opportunities and materials for the members of the Cancer Genomics Consortium. We accomplish this by developing educational workshops in conjunction with the Program Committee for the Annual Meeting, providing program assistance for the bi-monthly Case Conferences with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene, and provide 2-3 Educational Webinars for CGC membership every 3-6 months. The Education Committee develops educational resources to supplement material covered in existing ABMGG and ABP training programs and is working with additional Genetics societies to create easily accessible training documents for all career stages, as well as for the general public.
- Assisted the Annual Program Committee to offer educational workshops for the CGC Annual Meeting on topics that have included bioinformatics and interesting and challenging cases
- Offered multiple educational webinars throughout the year on diverse topics for the genetics community
- Partnered with the University of Wisconsin-Madison and welcomed genetics trainees or other CGC members to present interesting cases to an international audience at their bi-monthly case conference
- Continued to explore additional educational opportunities to offer CGC members
You can find the CGC on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and the Web. Have questions? Contact us!
