Abstract Travel Awards for Trainees and Technologists

CGC is pleased to announce that travel awards are available for outstanding trainees and technologists with high quality abstracts.

Travel awards are offered to the three trainees and three technologists who are the submitting authors on the highest-scoring trainee and technologist abstracts at the time of submission. Please note, individuals cannot receive a CGC Travel Award in two consecutive years.


In the online abstract submission procedure, please indicate if you would like to be considered for a travel award.
  • Trainees are individuals enrolled in an undergraduate, a graduate program or post-doctoral training in medical genetics or a closely related field and accredited by the ACGME, ABMGG, CCMG (or RCPS), or a residency program, or post-doctoral fellowship in a related field.
  • Technologists include individuals involved in clinical and/or research-related genomic testing and bioinformatic analysis whose primary duty is developing, performing and/or interpreting tests.
Please verify your status trainee/technologist by having your mentor/director complete the Online Trainee /Technologist Verification Form before the February 28, 2023 abstract deadline.


Poster Awards

A panel of judges will be reviewing poster presentations and awards will be given for posters.
